Fees, Food and Lodging

$20 for Adults, $15 for adults members over 18; $30 family cap.  This includes two meals (details below).

Park Entrance fee: $4 per person or $6 per car load per day.

Breakfast & Lunch Saturday
Various egg-based breakfast casseroles and quiche will be served Saturday morning and a light lunch on Saturday of soups and bread. If you have dietary restrictions please contact Domina Berenice Calvina / Laura Waack no later than Tuesday, April 24th. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. Some plates and bowls are available but you are encouraged to bring your own feast gear.

Menu details:

Breakfast, 7:30am – 9:30am, will be your choice of

  • Egg, cheese and bacon bake (GF)
  • Egg, cheese and Veggie bake (GF)
  • French Toast Bake

Lunch, 12:00-1:30, will be your choice of

  • Minestrone
  • Beef & vegetable (No Onions)
  • Bowl of Brown (No Tomatoes, GF)
  • Mutton and barley stew
  • Various kind of wheat-based rolls with butter

Each item will have a list of ingredients at meal time.

Other Meals:
A potluck is planned for Saturday night start at 6:30
There is only one oven and limited refrigerators space so if you want to make something for Potluck please bring a cooler and your own roaster or crockpot

The lodge has a full kitchen and a grill. It also has various cooking pans, utensils, plates, bowls, glasses and silverware. You are welcome to use them all. There is a nice restaurant in the park. In addition, there are numerous restaurants such as Hardees, Burger King, Arby’s, Chinese, Perkins, and Country Kitchen within 15 minutes of the site.

Note, the refrigerator is reserved for staff use. There will be limited space until after lunch on Saturday. Therefore, please plan on bringing a cooler for your use.

Camping is free on site. There are flush toilets and showers in the lodge. There is also very limited sleeping space in the lodge but you are encouraged to bring your own tent.

As of March 28th 2 of the 10 or so spaces in the lodge.

Besides camping on site, there are several hotels in the area.

There are other hotels, this link will take you to a list. The closest to the site are Holiday Inn Express; AmericInn, and the Ft. Pierre motel in Ft. Pierre. Across the river, in Pierre, the River Lodge and Governor’s Inn are both good low-cost hotels just past the bridge. The Ramkota, Club House Suites, Days Inn, and Super 8 are also in the same area.

Populace and Merchants Space:
We will have a large Pavilion set up for populace space. But you are welcome to bring your own shade flys.

Please bring chairs as the number in the lodge are limited.

No Merchants Fee – Merchants are responsible for SD State sales tax. Also, please plan on bringing a pop up for an outdoor booth.
